My Cleaning Activity For Monday, 11th of March, 2024

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog. I hope we all had a wonderful day.I was very busy that is the reason I posted my activity this late.I carried out my activity late in the evening, because I had to travel to school for my test. As we closed from school,I rushed to the motor park to board the next bus.

When I got home, I decided to clean my surroundings.I collected plastics, papers, plastic bottles, polythene, wraps of sweets, wraps of biscuits etc. Due to the flooding that occurred in some of the towns nearby, due to the first rain. The people in my community have been burning their wastes to prevent blockages of the drain.

Burning is very dangerous to the health of everyone due to the cases emitted.This gas, known as dioxin, is a highly toxic substance that can cause severe health problems. When inhaled or ingested, it can lead to respiratory issues, hormonal imbalance, reproductive problems, and even cancer.

In addition to dioxin, burning plastic waste also releases other harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, and particulate matter. These pollutants can irritate the respiratory system, trigger asthma attacks, and contribute to the development of respiratory diseases.

The smoke and ash emitted from the burning of plastic waste can travel long distances, affecting those in close proximity to the surrounding communities. This poses a significant public health concern for individuals.
The practice of burning plastic waste is not only harmful to human health but also contributes to environmental degradation. Plastic waste is a major contributor to pollution, and when burned, it releases greenhouse gases and contributes to climate change.

Efforts should be made to improve waste management practices, such as recycling and proper disposal methods, to prevent the burning of plastic waste. This would not only protect human health but also help in preserving the environment for future generations.
