LOVE DEMANDS SACRIFICE FROM US

Welcome back family to this week initiative. All thanks to #hive-reachout in collaboration with the #inleo to have provided us with such an opportunity to discuss every week on a particular topic. For this week I think is the best topic and I will do my best to outline what I can do for the sake of love.

First we need to look at what love is and I believe that we have talked about love in this community before. What is love? This is a strong affection that one have towards another. This strong affection can compel one to go extra miles.

In this context we are talking about what we can do for the people that we love. The people that matters in our lives. The people that maybe going through one difficulty or the other. We have such people who live among us and we can do one or two things for the sake or love to make sure that they are okay.

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR THE SAKE OF LOVE:

1. SACRIFICE: We can actually sacrifice what is very important to us because of the people we love. When people give or help others, it doesn't mean that they all have everything on abundance. It may be that the person given is also in need of what he or she is given. But because we love someone we can just sacrifice to make them happy. I have seen people who sacrificed their food, stayed hungry just to make everyone happy. People have given up their clothes just to keep others warm and stay in the cold.
2. HAPPINESS: happiness is what I have seen people sacrifice just to make other okay. When people give to others, it takes something very important from them. These include happiness of the individual given. You know that when you have money there is this happiness inside of you. You feel happy and believe that when any problem surfaces, there is money to solve it. But when you have given that money away, it also takes that joy that was in you assuring you that there is money to solve any problem.
3. PEACE: People can sacrifice their peace to make others happy. Sometimes when there one problem or the other and you see that when you insist on your right things will go wrong. And it is at that time when you have what belongs to you that you will be happy. One can decide to sacrifice his or her peace to become sad for a moment and make others that he loves to be happy.
4. LANDED PROPERTY: People have died while fighting for their lands. Alot of people can not let go of their land when any problem arises because they believe that it is their inheritance from their forefathers. But when someone who is in love of the person who is fighting for the land is involved, love can compel him to let go of that land to save lives. Not that you one can not fight for his land, but individual can just decide to let go to protect the person he loves from any harm.
   These and many more we can do for the sake of love. If you love someone you won't want to hurt him. If you care about someone you can't sit back and watch him die of hunger while you have food at home. If you love someone, you can't hold back from him what you know will be of help to that person. Love is all about giving. Love sees what others can not see. Love hears the voice that others can not hear. Love is the ultimate gift that we have ever received from God. And God also expect us to show that love with ourselves. That is why the Bible says that the highest commandment is love. Love the Lord your God and also love your neighbors as yourself.
