Crypto is a blessing but only to those that open their door to it.
Cryptocurrency I believe is here to bless alot of people but not every country accept it with their two hands. We can say that because some country actually kicked it out and they have also kicked the blessings that comes with it out.
igerian government with crypto are just like cat and rat. The government has never opened up to what crypto is and is not even ready for it. It has always frown on it and has made it look like every one doing anything online and is making a little money is into something really bad.
I don't think this is about to change any time soon. I overheard a landlord discussing with someone that they young guys that rented his apartments don't really have anything good doing rather they are always indoor and working on their systems. He was actually putting it that he is planning to get the police to arrest them because he doesn't trust what they do to earn a living. Now look at such situations. When I first heard of it I felt for the guys who are trying to make earn a living for themselves. Though is possible that they are into something really bad. But who knows if what they do is really good. The country has made it that anyone doing anything online and is making money, it means that you are into yahoo business. That is not right. I know that we have scammers who move around duping people, yet we still have genue people who do something really good through crypto. We can't label everyone a thief just because some people are stealing.
HOW HAS IT AFFECTED ME?
Is so sad that things are the way that they are right now. Some of us try to maintain a low profile, not letting everyone know what we do because some have actually tagged us scammers. For a country where everyone must wake up very early to move out of their houses and work to come back in the middle of the night just because we went to eat food and solve some problems. When you live in such society and you sit at home all day, you hardly move out. Yet at the end of the month you may end up making money more than those who move out very early and come back late. How can you explain that?
All I do is mind my business. I don't even go around and tell so many people that this is the kind of business that I do so that I will not create problem for myself. I only discuss it with few friends who I feel might be Educated to understand what I mean and somehow introduce some of them. Even my husband it took him time to understand what I do online. And some of them you can't blame them because they have been scammed again and again. This is how I have been operating all this while.

It's sad to see how the lack of understanding and acceptance from both the government and society can negatively impact those who genuinely seek opportunities in this innovative field. I hope that over time, there will be a shift in perception and greater openness to the positive possibilities that cryptocurrencies can bring to Nigeria. Thank you for sharing your story and for prompting us to reflect on these important issues.
So many people are still ignorant of cryptocurreny and they still believe it is illegal money gotten from it. The government do not support anything crypto and it's so painful. The yahoo stuff has painted crypto (online work) bad which makes people think whoever is working online is doing fraud which isn't so.
The best is to mind our business and only talk about it to those we feel may have little understanding about the world of crypto.
