Welcome back to Afro-Inleo Initiative week 55. This is a community that helps us deal with issues that has to do with music and our environment. Music have alot to do in our environment and it has really helped us in so many ways.

For this week the theme says - Music in the digital age, what have changed?

Alot have really changed. From the types of lyrics to the instruments. Everything is different now and it is shown very clearly.

Let's do a little comparison between the olden days music and what we have in the digital age.

OLDEN DAYS MUSIC
We can also do all it the music from our forefathers. This is the type of music that was done with local instruments and back then we don't have all the gadgets that is available today to give our music all it needs ro be beautiful. Though we can't say that there music was not beautiful, it was but not to compare it with what we have today.

I believe that this week's theme is somehow related to the theme for last week because I could remember talking about the differences in the types of music in those days and today. Even though this one is talking digital age.

DIGITAL AGE MUSIC
Just like the name implies - digital. Technology has changed so many things in our generation. Before this era there was no musical instruments like what we have now. But everything have gone digital. I remember someone telling me that most of these musicians now only use their laptop at home to produce their music from start to finish. It wasn't like this before. Before when someone wants to produce a music and goes to te studio, he will have to oay heavily to get hus work done and it will also take weeks before it will be done. But today what we have is actually digital. Everything is now done in a jiffy. The work that do take two weeks to get it done before is now taken two days or even less. Things have been made easy and even the price have drastically reduced to an affordable price that makes it possible for people to do their work without wasting time when they have a little money.

WHICH DO I PREFER?
Well I will say that I do prefer what we have today to compare to that stressful music production process that we have before. The music that we had back iwas very good, but it is only good for that generation. It can't sell in this generation because the kind of great minds we have today will not like to go with it. They want something more spicy. Maybe something more juicy and things like that. So that doesn't mean that I don't like those music of before. I love them because they even somehow make sense more than what we have today. Is just that what we have today is more garnished and also more lovely
