Life's Liberating Lesson

Life is all about learning because right from the day we all were born we have started learning about how to live life.
As long as we are still alive we will continue to learn every day, and anyone that fails to learn easily will learn the hard way and that is how life works.

Life has taught me a lot of lessons even when I thought that I knew all I needed to live life. Life taught me to always be sincere in everything I'm doing and that is why I never expected too much from people because as a human we can never be perfect.

Since I have been practicing on road projects, I have never done anything that will sabotage my work like taking the company's property or selling some materials that are left after we are done with the road project because in life it is what you give that will be given back to you.

I have been doing my work with sincerity because when I was growing up, my father made me understand that life doesn't cheat on people, it is people that always want to cheat on life.

Just like one of my colleagues that loves to take all the leftover materials at work, one day I stylishly asked him what he always does with the material and his response was, "The salary is not enough and this is the only way to make extra cash".

I wasn't surprised because truly the salary is not enough, he was right about that but I managed to persuade him to have a side hustle. I told him about some side hustles that a 9-5 worker can engage in to make extra money instead of stealing the company's property.

He never listened to me and he replied to me that, "he can't have time to do any side hustle. I let him be until he was caught stealing and sent away from the company. And this is what he gets by trying to cheat life, making money from someone else's property.

I have never compromised my work and I will never do that because in life, if you don't want to pass through the right way to make it then be ready to face the hardship of life.

The important lesson that life has taught me

Life taught me how to be sincere with everything I am doing and it has been helping me ever since I became an adult. Where I work there are lots of things that can tempt a man to steal but because of the lessons I have learned from life and people around me like my father, I couldn't bring myself down to be tempted.

There are times materials will be miscalculated, excess material will be brought to the site for construction and as the good supervisor that I am, I will make sure nobody tampers with it till I take them back to the office. Someone has asked me if I ever needed money before and my reply to that person was, "I need money but not the one that will choke me or the little money that I will gain from materials that will end up taking my job away from me".

I don't know how people find it easy to take what does not belong to them even though they know the consequences of stealing a company's property. My life is simple because I make it simple for myself. Every day of my life I learn different ways of living.
