Planting seeds for the bull market
We are probably all fed-up with the length of this bear market. The enthusiasm is probably at an all time low and we almost can't remember how it was when tokens actually were climbing in value. We tend to forget in such situations that it's in the bear market that you plant the seeds for the future bull run...
I've been active in the cryptosphere for a very long time. I started to claim from faucets in 2014 already. What I have learned in all this time dealing with crypto is that you should always remember where you have coins.
Take care of your wallets even if the value is close to zero
In this bear market, many of our tokens have lost a big chunk of their value and we tend to forget about them. Why lose our time with tokens that have no value? I have an anecdote to tell you why it matters to look after all your assets, even the worthless ones.
My doge adventure
At one time I was actually running several crypto faucets and I was giving out coins like BTC, DASH, ETH, LTC and DOGE. So I needed a constant supply of these coins to refill my faucets. My main income source was actually other faucets. I promoted referral links on my faucets for other faucets and I earned commissions whenever people where claiming from these faucets over my referral links. This allowed me to collect regular amounts of these tokens. One of my most successful faucet was my Doge faucet. I had up to 300 people claiming from this faucet every day and I promoted a lot of other faucets there that also paid in Doge. That is how I managed to collect a lot of doge thanks to referral commissions.
Later I stopped my faucets but my referral commissions kept coming in for a certain time. I had close to 4000 Doge. I left them on my wallet for several years without touching them.
Then came this craziness in April 2021 and Doge prices increased almost 100x. I then remembered my wallet and sold my Doge at a very good price. I didn't get the best price but I made about 1'500 USD selling them. With that money I bought Hive and increased my stake.
What is worthless today could be gold in the future
Even if many of our tokens are kind of worthless at the moment, it's possible that one or two among them once have a similar evolution than my Doge. You never know how the future evolves and you should always remember that.
Holding all these tokens in your wallets can seem annoying and useless but each of them has the potential to be a gold mine in the future. It's impossible to know what the future has in store for us but one thing is for sure. If you have no tokens, you have zero potential to profit from a possible price explosion. That is why I believe, it's a good idea to regularly check all your wallets, maybe even make a list of them so that you don't forget they exist. Some of these tokens also pay staking rewards and it's also good to collect your rewards on a regular basis.
This is a way to plant seeds for the future bull market. Maybe one of these assets will be your stroke of luck and you will be glad that you kept that token.

The funny thing is that this coin was around almost as long as LTC but people discovered it much later only :-). I quite enjoyed the FOMO about it ;-)

Impossible to know which one might do the trick. So the best is to have a collection of possible candidates :-)

Wow, that is quite a bit of money you made off of DOGE. It's crazy how things can get value over time when we least expect it. I hope Hive fires off in the next bull market for crypto because that is where my time has been spent.
I also hope that we will see similar things on Hive. Would be nice to see Hive over 1$ :-)

! help(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoUnfortunately, most people look at a very short time frame when they act and they sell everything when things go down and buy when things go up. Human psychology is wired like that but it's not the most profitable way of doing it :-)
Thanks for sharing this story that could change someone's life! I have many tokens all around in different wallets, but I do have lists where they are... That's good advice to keep count of all your tokens, as you never know which one can pop out in some crazy, future bull market...
I didn't have one in the past and I learned from the difficulty of chasing all my tokens down lol. Now I list all my assets in a spreadsheet and I check them from time to time.

It is a fact that the prices of whatever coins are there at the moment are negligible, but if people are patient, we will see that they will have a lot of profit in the near future. Money has been added but now its prices have come down to nothing. The project is called axie Infinity Up. How far do you think it can go in the near future?
I don't really know much about the game and the ecosystem of Axie. But you never know. Maybe the game finds a second life and suddenly the tokens will be valuable again...

That's what I do every start of the month. Some wallets with a low value in them I don't update as often, but I keep track of them too.
I learned from the past. Now I do the same. When Doge exploded, I needed a couple of days to remember where my tokens where and to find my passwords again :-)
It's a great thing you remembered. Others are not so lucky.

Although it's not that easy to find the diamond so I'm just sticking with Hive (and some 2nd layer tokens /nft's) for now.
To be honest, I never expected Doge to evolve like that but then I was happy to have them lying around when it happened :-)
