We are protesting for our rights.

Hello everyone, I hope you all are fine. I am also fine. I have been busy with the ongoing protests about water in my province Sindh province in Pakistan.

There are four provinces in Pakistan and currently there is protest going on which is about the scarcity of water. It is about the distribution of water. My province is Sindh. It is basically resides and lives upon the water of Indus River. Indus River flows from Tibet which is an area bordering in China. It flows throughout the country Pakistan and then finally ends into the Arabian Sea from Sindh.

So, the Punjab province is building six canals on this Indus river. Which will lead to the very some scarcity of water in my province Sindh. Furthermore uh the province of Punjab is trying to irrigate desert. Which is the uh intended purpose to build six canals on that river. But as I mentioned earlier in the blog that Indus river is the life blood of Sindh province which is why all of Sindhis have started protesting against all these six canals. We have tried to block roads to convey our message to the government of Punjab. So that we can get an equal share of water because this is about the future of generations to come. If we do not speak about our rights to clean, drinkable and usable water right now the generations to come will face droughts.

There is no hate to the people of Punjab. the common people of Punjab have nothing to do with this. It is the vicious government of Punjab which is trying to irrigate a desert and trying to convert our province into a desert.

I have also noticed on social media uh across different platforms that people from different occupations be it lawyers doctors, teachers, students and people from all walks of life in the Sindh province have started peaceful protest.

I am just trying to say that when the question is about your rights and basic needs and fundamental rights you should not compromise on that and you should stand up firmly in the face of the oppressor who is trying to take your legal rights.
