It was not a good start, but time and my strong advice were the only things that made everything possible.

Even up to this moment, he had not once jumped over my words, being his wife.

This was the story of my husband, which he told me, and I have experienced some of it. Before we got married, he had said that he had been roaming about seeking employment of his choice, but then he was unable to get one. He used his certificate to search, but then all his searches were total failures.

Any company he gets to would say, “No vacancy.” According to him, it was just as if he were being followed by wishes and wizards in his family. He just wanted to get a job of his choice certainly, but then he had no choice other than to go for what he did not study or least expected.

It was so tough to decide, but then he had to. The very first time we met each other, he called me and told me what was happening to him. “You need to calm down and think about what you can do to carry on with life," I said to him.

I guess he followed my advice and was calm for a while, while he began to submit his application to various companies.

He read electrical and electronic engineering, and so he was eager to work for an electrical company. He sent his CV to many construction companies just to apply for electrical engineering positions at their companies and kept waiting for their calls.

After waiting for four months without a job, he called me and said to me, “Do I have any idea as to what he can do to keep him happy?”

“I think you have to join teaching," I advised.

However, he has not placed teaching as part of his agenda, nor is it part of his memory to become a teacher. “I have not for once dreamt of becoming a teacher one day, so I doubt that idea will work out," he replied, as he was so serious in his speech.

He kept hoping that if he was going to be called in, at least one of those companies had submitted his CV, but the more he waited, the more time passed by.

Two months later, when he was so tired and had no money with him, he decided to take my idea. He called me and said, “I have thought about your idea, and to be sincere, I cannot stay without doing anything. Presently, I don't even have a dime with me, and depending on my mom to always send me money will bring some shame to my part," he was so bittered while saying those words.

“I have to submit my CV to a private school to see if I will be considered," he added.

He later called me again five days after he had submitted his CV and had been called for an interview. After the interview, he told me that he had been considered and was given his best subjects (mathematics and physics).

“How much will they pay you?” I asked.

“They agreed to pay me the sum of $20,000, but I was insisting on $30,000, which they objected to," he said.

I told him that he had to manage it instead of sitting in a spot without doing anything. He was initially not happy with what he was doing, but then it was what he must do just to keep him busy.

A year later, I was with him, and I advised him to keep his engineering certificate and go for the educational line. He was so adamant and said bluntly, “I will still see a job in my line.”.

I let him be, and he continued with the teaching.

It got to the extent where he had to admit to me that so many parents loved his work and were rewarding him handsomely. He said, “I never knew there were countless benefits attached to teaching, and not only that, but the love the students have for me is alarming. I have taken them to be my children, and I have fallen in love with teaching. I think it's best to take the road less traveled, as I am enjoying it right now.”.

He later applied for mathematics education at the university. He did it for four years, and now he is fully grounded and is a full-time teacher, but not a cheater. Likewise, he was a cheater without educational certificates, but a teacher with educational certificates.

This was when he knew that teaching had plenty of benefits. Even though one has to pass through some stress or insults, he was still okay with the teaching.

He least expected to see himself as a teacher, but narrowly, he is one of those being called teachers.
