It's very tough to be a whistle blowing member as this can bring a kind of danger in one's path. The danger that one has not experienced before.

Before I start, I need to define the word whistle blowing. Before now, I have seen it as just someone who always blows whistles, but when I grew from child to youth, it became clearer to me. Whistle blowing has been a word that most people always use to describe the act of reporting wrong-doing in a society. The things such a person has to report or flag are those involved in corruption, theft, fraudulent, abuse of power or other criminal acts.

A society that allows wrong-doing is not just a correct society, but a society that's full of indiscipline. Such a society is not worth being called a society. At least, someone must be there to bring those wrongdoers to book. This is why we have whistle blowers.

In a more simpler way, we are expected to put something on ground before we answer the call of a whistle blower. Those things we must put in place must be things that can make us stronger. So, without putting those things in place, the dream of becoming a whistle blower is unrealistic

In a more critical manner, whistle blowing can or may lead to job dismissal, threats, harassment or physical combat. In this regard, it should be seen as a mindful duty, but not a compulsory one.

In order to put or make someone a whistle blower, strong measures needed to be put in place just for safety purposes. The policemen have the right to be protected, likewise some civil agencies. So, there should be strong legal protection that can prevent retaliation or physical combat of any form. Also, since one's job is not guaranteed, a good measure should be put in place just to safeguard someone's job.

Channels that one can use to report unwanted happenings should be put in place just in case. This may include security agencies hotlines, or any platform that can support this action. There should also be the avenue where necessary things are put in place just for protection purposes. A whistle blower cannot just move empty handed without any evidence of protection.

Abuse is something most people do look at before becoming a whistle blower. So, there must be a way to curb the occasions of abuse from or in any way. This is because when a whistle blower gets abused, he or she may be ashamed of the duties under his or her care.

There are some cases where we have a fake whistle blower. This can lead to misunderstanding between the government agencies and the genuine whistle blower. We are in a country where bribery has become the mother of the day. So, the best is to provide an avenue where reports are being made. In return, the security agencies should stand the chance of proper verification before proper action can be taken. Jumping into quick action without verification can lead to great misunderstandings.

There should be a proper penalty for someone with a wrong information or false report. This can curb the action of those faking themselves as a whistle blower.

The one who is investigating should be a trusted person. Someone that does not take bribes.

Whistle blowers play vital roles in society. They stand the chance of promoting accountability and justice in the society. They should be properly protected so as not to have a doubted mind. When they have the total protective measures, they can make the society a better place to live in.
