Skills are what I can term the knowledge or capabilities to embark on a particular training or learning process or to gain experience in a particular field. There are so many skills to be learned out there. Most people, most especially students of nowadays, have this ability to take a skill outside their schooling. My sister asked her daughter what she can learn alongside her education. She was proudly there to give a good answer,hich was in accordance with her ability. She went for computer training. Not only that, but she said she would like it if she became a computer instructor beside her school as a side hustle.

Yes, most people use their skills as a side hustle. They use their skills to make extra money for their pockets and to improve their family in terms of a better life. Skills are something everyone would love to learn no matter the situation, although most youths of nowadays are not just the type of youths that are ready to learn. They are not just the types who can learn some skills or even just one to support themselves whenever they are not having.

When I was in school, one of my course mates happened to make hair for our mates. She would bring her instruments to the school compound without anyone disturbing her. She later brought all her items to her hostel. She began to share her school with her side hustle. She was not even demanding any money from her parents, although her parents only struggled to pay her fees. When she started plaiting students' hair, she stopped demanding money from her parents. Although they asked, she then had to tell them the truth of what she was doing to make her money. Even female lecturers knew her through the hair she does. She also makes hair for them and fixes their attachments and other hair materials.

I learned a lot from her, being in the same hostel.

So, if I'm told to learn a skill for just a month, the very one I would go for is hairdressing. It's something that can be quick to learn and fast to understand. Although it has so many things, one just needs to know properly before getting one's freedom. Yes, it's best to learn within the limited time or time frame.

At least, I do make my daughter's hair, and I have known some basic aspects of hairdressing. It won't be stressful learning it further.

I have even said to myself that I would allow my children to learn one skill while they are in their secondary school. This will help them a lot when they get to the higher institutions. It's a way of making extra money for oneself.
