How I Got My Husband Saved From Scammers

There was this platform that my husband discovered some years ago that kept baffling me. It's a platform that someone sent to him to log in to from WhatsApp. He did not hesitate to click on the link. After he clicked on the link, he was directed to Telegram.

He started going by the directives he was given. At first, on the Telegram channel, he was told to download an app that was just like a crypto wallet. He downloaded it within seconds. He was again told to create an account with his Gmail, which he created.

After the creation, he was asked to screenshot some parts and send them to the Telegram channel. He does all their instructions. While this was going on, I asked my husband to be careful and that people are finding ways to scam people online. He did not listen to me; instead, he carried on with what was in his mind. To him, he always does what his mind says, and according to him, what his mind says is the best.

He was asked to carry out some tasks that he was given. He does that and screenshots the tasks (each step) and sends them to them. Immediately, he was given $5 worth of USDT. He was so happy and said to me that this was the best way of making money online. He began to dedicate all his mind to these people.

I asked him to stop since he had been given $5 worth of USDT. I asked him to withdraw that money and stop dealing with them, but he refused. He continued to trust these people.

Now, he was upgraded to stage three. He was directed to another person, and that person was called a coach. This means she would be coaching him further. To my surprise, that coach was a female. My husband said females cannot cheat people and that the only people who are cheaters are mostly males. I made him understand that cheaters can be all-rounders and no one is exempt from cheating.

This lady started coaching him and sent him some series of levels. She said the next level would be for him to send $10 worth of USDT and that he would be credited with $19 in his wallet. He was so excited and did as instructed. He has up to $10 worth of USDT in his Binance account, and so he performed the transaction within two minutes. Likewise, he was asked to screenshot the transaction as evidence, which he did.

Two minutes later, he went to his account and saw the $19. He went back to Telegram and was asked to screenshot the amount he was given, which he did. He was sent a video on how to convert the token from ether to bep20. Not only that, but he immediately does this act and sends the USDT to his Binance for trading. He traded it and was so happy to have $19 (almost 17,000 Nigerian naira) after the conversation.

I was still sensing foul play, and I knew very well that this was going to be a scam. I told my husband that the reason he was given was a temptation to go for the next level, where he would be scammed, but he did not believe me.

At the end of the coaching, according to them, he would be given a certificate, which would make him acquire some dollars and millions of Naira daily. He began to calculate what he would use the money to buy. He said I should not worry; he was going to load my shop with goods when he finally acquired this certificate.

At the next level, he would deposit $20 worth of USDT and have an added $15, making a total of $35 USDT. He was so excited and added money to the former amount he had gained and made the transaction. He was asked to screenshot the evidence, which he did. Within a few minutes, he was credited $35 worth of USDT. He said to me that he had told me before that this was going to be great.

People started posting their achievements and how they were able to acquire the certificate. This triggered his brain, and he said he must get to that level.

I asked him to stop since he had gained from them. At least, he only put in $10 worth of USDT and had acquired $35, making a gain of $25 worth of USDT. He never wanted to listen.

The next level was to send $75 USD, which he did not have. He began to call his friends to lend him some money. God is so kind; they said they don't have. He began to tag them as enemies of progress.

He turned to me, although he had known that I would not dare give him money. He began to beg profusely for the remaining part of the money. I told him that he should forget me, but he kept pestering me and trying to convince me. I notified him that I could never fall for that trick.

He entered the channel and saw people with different testimony about how they were able to achieve their certificates. I notified him that those people were part of those on the platform.

As he was still on the platform, the coach texted him to be fast about it or if he wanted to relent from where he had stopped. He said he would stop at the next level and would acquire his certificate.

He went back to the public chat platform, and immediately, someone posted, “They have scammed me out.” Immediately, that message was deleted within seconds.

Another one posted, “They are scammers.” That message was deleted, and that person was tagged as spamming the channel.

Another one typed, “My $175 is gone," and immediately he was also removed from the channel. I saw how shocked my husband was.

At this junction, his eyes were opened, and he thanked me for the advice I had given to him. He was also happy that his friends did not send him any money.

Everyone in the channel started leaving, and the account was later considered a deleted account.

...although he had known that I would not dare give him money.

How would you give him money when you were actually against the whole transaction? 😅
So glad he didn't continue after the money was increased.

A friend's sister was scammed too, through this method. Although hers wasn't via telegram. But come to think of it, if people made money through this means, I don't think anyone would be poor again 😕

This is one very popular scamming technique and sadly, many fall for it. It is a good thing your husband stopped when he did.

Your husband is very lucky to have such a contender wife like you, many wives would have advised their husbands to invest more since they are seeing results.

How was he able to sell his coins here in Nigeria, since naira account was removed from binance, I haven't sold any coins by myself
