An Hour Without My Phone

A phone is just something I can say every user is addicted to. No user with a phone is or can be capable of leaving his or her phone without touching it for an hour. Although, it might be simply an ordinary phone that is not an android phone.

Technology has made things easier, but then has given us countless responsibilities in terms of how we take care of our phones.

In no doubt, the money I spend on my phone monthly is approximately too high when compared to the cost of other items I do spend in my house, except for food. I make calls like never before, most, especially when it comes to calling my family. My husband is not staying with me and has been coming back every weekend just because of his job. We always sometimes speak every hour and sometimes two or three hours interval daily. So, this alone has made me always make good use of my phone.

Surfing the Internet searching for recent news as well as going to the Internet watching skits that can make me laugh all day long has also been part of what has been eating up my time with my phone.

I can never do without being with my phone for more than one hour, except when I'm feeling sleepy or in a serious discussion with someone. Even moreover discussion, I can still manage to touch my phone just to see if any notifications shown up.

I saw a boy some weeks ago who was walking down the street. He was so glued to his phone to the extent of forgetting that there was a drainage ahead of him. When he was almost approaching the drainage, something was telling me to allow him just to see if he was truly going to fall inside the drainage, but then I'm human who has conscience. Just a step to the drainage, I shouted, which made him look properly and immediately jumped back. He thanked me for saving his life. He made a statement that I knew was perfectly true: “this phone can make one fall into traps of any form. Now I want to kill myself if not you”. He placed his phone in his pocket as he walked down the street, busy after few minutes of leaving, I saw him pressing the phone again to do what I did not know. This makes me conclude that the phone is truly an addiction which we cannot run from no matter the situation.

So, I cannot stay for one hour without touching my phone, so do other users except on an exceptional occasion.

In as much as I do write on Hive daily, then writing a sentence needs a rethink. So, doing this can make you stay on the phone for hours without staying away. Again, one has to comment on write-ups. I'm another way, we have to visit our page on either Facebook, or WhatsApp, or YouTube or Instagram and other social media handles just to make our days lively and lovely.

My husband is the number one of phone user. He can remain glued to his phone for hours without taking his face away. I kept thinking if he does that at work. I asked him, but he replied that he always leaves his phone in his office. Going to class with a phone is prohibited in his working place. He said he's always missing his phone anytime he's in class teaching, but he had no choice.

To be candid, no user of Android phones would say he's not touching his phone in less than an hour. Phones are meant to be touched, since we have one thing or the other doing with them. Another condition that can make me leave my phone alone is while charging it. I don't love using phones anytime I'm charging because I only believed that fact that it might run the battery down totally.

People and phones are really connected these days. It would be difficult to change that. XD

I think I understand that type of getting glued to your phone, you're just looking at your phone and smirking subtle laughs that always seem confusing to people around you, lol

Well, technology is here to stay and in as much as we can't get detached from the phone, why not use it also as an opportunity to make good use of it, that too I think Is a big win
