A Must Do

Mandatory service is that compulsory thing you have to do or carry out before starting a project just to meet the government regulations binding such a project. I only used my terms and the way I understood them to define them.

There are so many mandatory services in place today that every individual must follow.

These services can vary from country to country and sometimes have the same kind of law binding them. There are penalties for failures to abide by such services. This is why it is being called a mandatory service, and the government strictly frowns on it. Going by the laws, when violated, one would pay dearly for it because there has been a first-hand reach out.

Every so often this mandatory service has some elements of corruption in it. Most government workers that have been placed to man those areas are full of corrupt minds. I can call them criminals who are not ready to respect the rules.

I said this just because of what had happened to someone I knew very well. This man built a mansion without consulting the town planners who had been placed by the government. Normally, they have to sign the document to the plan before you start building on it. This man did not take the house plan to the town planners; instead went ahead and built. After building, the town planners came around. They canceled the plan and marked the building “X,” meaning no one would be allowed to work until further notice.

This man had to go underground to plead, and they asked for a huge amount of money from him. He had no choice other than to pay. He paid the planners without his documents being signed. I can call this foolishness. Days later, another set came again demanding the house plan. He brought it out and was charged heavily for violating the laws. He said he had paid before now. They asked him to bring the receipt, but then he was unable to provide it.

He paid another money and this time he paid to the bank in a government account. This was the best way to have done it. This means the former town planners that came scammed him blindly.

So, people have been using this medium to scam people. This I can call corruption and cubbing; it would be better.

Back to the major point

The time students had to serve their country, most especially in Nigeria, depends on the deployment availability of the orientation camp. Most likely, one has to serve for about a few months before dropping. It serves as an advantage to people, as one would have the opportunity to know people and to have new friends. One can also use that opportunity to learn the language of the state you are being listed to.

Another huge advantage is the fact that you have to be retained in the company you have been listed to. Most corpse members and the majority of them have been posted to schools to teach, while some have been posted to companies to work. Most of them posted to companies may be retained depending on your behavior.

So, serving your country is very mandatory when you are out of school for a certain period. One cannot escape from it except when you are over age. Overage is 30 years and above.

This is what is necessary in my country for individuals who are schooling.
